Map of location

Area description

This accommodation is situated in the Nieuwmarkt area, in the heart of the old centre of Amsterdam, almost on the foot of the Zuiderkerk (Southern Church), walking distance to everywhere in the city centre.

You will find everything Amsterdam has to offer within a 1 mile radius. Though located on a very quiet canal, you have around not only the Nieuwmarkt, but the Chinese Neighbourhood, the Red Light District, the Dam Square (where the Royal Palace and the Madame Tussauds wax museum are located) and the Waterloo Square (the famous flea market). The Flower Market, Rembrandt Square, the Jordaan and Central Station are just a few minutes walking, as well as cinemas (the famous art deco Tuschinsky en de modern De Munt) and many theatres (Ballet and Opera House and Carré) and museums (Rembrandt House, Hermitage Museum).
The metro has a stop next to the house, which can take you anywhere else outside the city centre, including the Museum Square, where the Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum (modern art) are located.

The choice you have of restaurants, cafés, coffee shops and all kind of shopping is countless. So, another perfect location for a great stay in Amsterdam!
