Situated in the old historical centre, the Downtown Guestroom is set on the first floor of a charming old house, with private but small bathroom, a comfortable double-bed and a sofa bed, in case two guests want to sleep separately or there are 3 guests.

This accommodation is very popular and a great choice for those looking for a budget and homely stay. Everything is very clean and tidy.

There is Wi-Fi for your laptop and also tea & coffee making facilities. No kitchen and no breakfast served, but there are many restaurants and cafés nearby. Great reviews from previous guests.

Not recommended for people walking disabilities, as this room is located on the first floor (steep stairs, no lift).

Baby cot available (guest must bring own bedlinen).

If you arrive before that date you’re allowed to smoke, but never in bed and with open windows please. Weed is not allowed anyway: please smoke outside and not in front of the building.
If you have booked with arrival after the 1st June, then it is strictly forbidden to smoke.

Area description

As the name of this accommodation indicates, it is really located in the heart of the old city centre, with its history and beautiful architecture. All famous spots of downtown are maximum 10 minutes walk, including Central Station and Dam Square (where the famous Madame Tussaud wax museum is located).

Please be aware that this property is also located very close to a small prostitute’s quarter (not the Red Light District and yet touristic), although it is very safe and clean.

You will be also just a couple of minutes walk from the most beautiful and renowned canals, the Jordaan, Anne Frank House, The 9 Little Streets, the Red Light District, Nieuwmarkt (where China Town is located) and many more to discover.
